Welcome to my photography blog, my name is Valerie Bey. My background includes graphic arts, television production, script writing and video editing. For the past 33 years the camera has been my primary tool for creative expression. (I started back in the ‘good old days’ of film and darkroom processing)

My specialty is portraits! I love capturing the personality and facial expressions of those qualities that make everyone so unique. If you tell me you ‘never take a good portrait,’ I delight in the challenge of showing you that you can.
